My name is Kalei Rataj.
ABOUT ME
I am a birth doula, a devout Catholic with a desire to approach life more holistically, a wife and mother.
I’m originally from Las Vegas, Nevada and have called Sioux Falls home for the last 3 years. My passion for birth work began with the birth of my daughter, Riley. That then led me to earning my Doula training certification through DONA International and I have been continuing my education in birth work since then.
After becoming a trained birth doula, the meaning of “Motherhood” took on a whole new depth to me. I knew I wanted to help support mothers to have the most sacred birth experience possible, because that’s what we all deserve!
Supporting families is at the heart of what I do. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive experience where you feel listened to, confident in your choices, and well-informed every step of the way. From the early stages of growing your family through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, I’m here to offer guidance, encouragement, and compassionate support along your journey.

I have a deep devotion to the Holy Family, and they were a steadfast inspiration for me during the beginning of my journey as a doula.
I chose this name to honor the 3 hearts within the Holy Family;
Jesus, Mary, and St. Joseph.
My goal is to reflect the attributes of the Holy Family & validate the human dignity of both parents and child during every birthing experience I am fortunate enough to be a part of.
I am enjoying living room dance parties with my husband and Riley, trying out new cooking recipes, searching for gems at a thrift store, reading classical literature, and traveling with my family.
